BayFit Boxing

"It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up."

BayFit Boxing is our non-full contact boxing conditioning class. These classes are taught on the heavy bags, they’re 1 hour long, and offer a full body workout. Classes start with an intense warm up using plyometric, followed by a full body stretch, after warm ups and stretch you will go into a half hour of bag time. Bag times consists of roughly 5 5minute rounds verse your heavy bag. The instructor will call out and demonstrate the combo for that round, the class executes that specific combo and most importantly the instructor will go bag to bag working individually with each member. You will be learning to hit combos on the heavy and work the focus mitts with an instructor. As a beginner the instructor will help you with form and answer any question you may have as a more experienced member they will work more high level personal training with you.

From a fitness stand point you’ll burned 800-1000 calories and have activated every muscle on your body. The last 15 minutes is a cool down period where we take you over to the Jiu-Jitsu mats and finish you up with core strength exercises (isolated abs and oblique’s).

These classes are great for increasing cardiovascular and muscular endurance, fat burning and coordination!! Whether you are just looking to get in shape for the summer or are a competitive fighter the BayFit  Boxing classes are sure to get you in the best shape of your life!!

Besides keeping your body fit, boxing has tons of other benefits. You can burn anywhere from 800 to 1000 calories an hour with boxing! Boxing also reduces and relieves stress. Its rigorous workout – controlled punching movements carried out with the discipline and skill – can do wonders for feelings of frustration and anger. Practicing boxing moves can also help to improve balance, flexibility, coordination, and endurance. Boxing is also a great way to get a total body workout while learning simple self-defense moves. **The only equipment you need is glove, wraps, your body and the will to get the best work out of your life. There should be no concerns regarding age or fitness level as each individual will train and excel at their own pace.
