Our Muay Thai fight team classes are a 100% instructional program learning Muay Thai kickboxing from the ground up. You will still get a workout but these classes are geared toward learning Muay Thai. Classes are beginner friendly but are much more full contact then our BAB BayFit Cardio kickboxing. You will not be injured in these classes but sparring and pad work are included and we do make competition available. So weather you are a beginner and just want to train or you are an experienced fighter looking to compete Bay Area Boxing’s got you covered for Muay Thai.
Muay Thai is a form of kickboxing from Thailand. Muay Thai is the 8 limb martial art. Muay Thai is the most common form of striking for self-defense and MMA. Muay Thai use punches, elbows, knees, roundhouse kicks, push kicks and a strong emphasis on clinching (grabbing your opponent by the head when they get to close to strike them). The combination of techniques in Muay Thai makes it one of the most brutal forms of striking in the world.
